O ideal estético em mulheres do Leste Asiático e descendentes: Uma revisão integrativa qualitativa

Este artigo apresenta uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre os efeitos do ideal estético em mulheres do Leste Asiático, com foco em japonesas, chinesas, norte-coreanas e sul-coreanas. A pesquisa foi realizada tendo como base estudos científic os nacionais e internacionais, resultando em 42 estudos analisados tematicamente. As categorias emergentes foram: percepção do próprio corpo, impactos do uso das mídias e redes sociais, intervenções “cosmédicas”, beleza como capital e variabilidade cultural. Os resultados evidenciam a centralidade do ideal de magreza e sua associação com sofrimento psíquico, como ansiedade, depressão e transtornos alimentares. Destaca-se que tais padrões não refletem apenas a influência ocidental, mas são ressignificados localmente, articulando elementos culturais, históricos e geracionais. A revisão aponta a necessidade de considerar as especificidades contextuais das mulheres asiáticas e questiona leituras homogeneizantes que ignoram suas singularidades. Conclui-se que o ideal estético opera como dispositivo de controle sobre os corpos femininos, impactando diretamente a saúde mental e a construção subjetiva dessas mulheres.
