A saúde mental dos pós-graduandos no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19: revisão de escopo.

A saúde mental sofreu impactos durante e após a pandemia da COVID-19, especialmente entre grupos mais suscetíveis como pós-graduandos. O objetivo deste estudo foi mapear evidências científicas da saúde mental do pós-graduando no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19, por meio de uma revisão de escopo. Utilizou-se o protocolo PCC, no qual o P (população) refere-se a pós-graduandos, o C (Conceito) refere-se a saúde mental e o C (contexto) refere-se à pandemia da COVID-19. A questão norteadora da revisão foi “Quais as evidências científicas sobre a saúde mental do pós-graduando durante a pandemia da COVID-19?”. Foram obtidos 759 documentos após busca nas bases de dados, sendo que a amostra final da revisão foi composta por 58 artigos. Observou-se maior frequência de publicação no ano de 2022 (48,3%), de estudos com abordagem quantitativa (81%), sendo 78,6% destes artigos publicados em periódicos não especializados em saúde mental, 94,8% eram estudos com pós-graduandos stricto-sensu (Mestrado e/ou Doutorado) e 5,2% estudos com pós-graduandos, matriculados tanto na modalidade stricto sensu quanto na lato sensu. Estados Unidos (27,7%), China (26%) e Brasil (17,3%) foram os países com maior concentração de artigos publicados. Após a leitura dos artigos, emergiram cinco temáticas de discussão: Prevalência e sintomatologia de transtornos mentais e seus impactos na saúde mental dos pós-graduandos; Fatores de risco e de proteção da saúde mental dos pós-graduandos durante a pandemia da COVID-19; Estudos comparativos entre pós-graduandos e outras populações acadêmicas; Lidando com as consequências da COVID-19 na saúde mental: Desafios e dificuldades na busca de ajuda; e Comprometimento da saúde mental na pandemia e reflexos no ensino-aprendizagem. Pode-se concluir que houve um aumento significativo da prevalência e sintomatologia de transtornos mentais, principalmente de ansiedade e depressão. Universidades, gestores e comunidade devem refletir e agir em conjunto para minimizar o impacto na saúde mental dos pós-graduandos, além da COVID-19.
